MN: Romagnoli has recovered from his calf injury – will return to training tomorrow

By Isak Möller -

Milan didn’t bring in a centre-back before the transfer window deadline, but it seems the emergency has been solved anyway. Alessio Romagnoli, the Rossoneri’s captain, will be back in training tomorrow.

The 25-year-old suffered an injury to his calf at the end of July and has missed ten games for Milan. However, he has now fully recovered and according to MilanNews.it, he will take part in tomorrow’s training session with his teammates.

Stefano Pioli will start preparations for the derby tomorrow but due to the international break, several key players will be missing. Therefore, it remains to be seen if Romagnoli will play in the important game.

After all, he isn’t exactly match fit and he won’t get much training with his fellow starters before the game. Matteo Gabbia remains the favourite to start alongside Simon Kjaer, for now at least, as the duo has conceded zero goals thus far.
