MN: Sale of unwanted duo could help Milan complete the midfield – the three targets

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could sell two players in order to finance a final signing to complete the defensive midfield department, a report claims.

According to MilanNews, the Rossoneri will once again use the 4-2-3-1 which contains a double pivot which is absolutely vital to how the team plays, meaning four players will be needed for the two holding midfield roles.

While Franck Kessie and Ismael Bennacer were fantastic after lockdown, the presence of Sandro Tonali – a midfielder who combines physicality with technical ability – will be important to give Pioli more solutions for the combinations of the midfield.

To complete the department though, one final piece is missing. The possible departures of Krunic and Paquetà could finance the last signing in midfield of which there are three names currently in the orbit: Tiemoue Bakayoko, Florentino Luis and Soumarè.

The characteristic that unites the three, in particular, is physicality, an important sign that Pioli needs to have two athletically distinguished midfielders.
