There were some eyebrows raised by the fact that left-back Theo Hernandez has not even made the bench for today’s game against Hellas Verona.
It was confirmed yesterday that Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Hakan Calhanoglu, Mario Mandzukic, Ismael Bennacer, Ante Rebic and Daniel Maldini have all been left out of the squad. Theo Hernandez and Sandro Tonali were named in the squad but reports last night suggested both are battling problems, the same with Jens Petter Hauge, who will remain on the bench as a precaution.

Once the official team news was released, the absence of Theo Hernandez was confirmed. The Frenchman is not even on the bench and therefore will not take part in the game at the Bentegodi. According to what is being reported by MilanNews, the full-back is out because he has not disposed of a bruise to the fibula that he sustained against Udinese in the midweek game at San Siro.
