MN: Theo Hernandez snubbed again by France – the full-back does his talking on the pitch

By Oliver Fisher -

Question marks have arisen over the past few days as to why Theo Hernandez keeps being left out of French national team squads.

As MilanNews notes, Theo has well surpassed the expectations placed upon him after his €20m arrival from Real Madrid last summer, having become an absolute mainstay of Stefano Pioli’s side. Yet France coach Didier Deschamps continues to snub him, and you have to wonder if he has seen a Milan match in the last year and a half.

Any image that the full-back had upon his arrival that questioned his professionalism has now been completely cleared, and he has become one of the best full-backs in the league.

Yes he lacks experience in elite tournaments like the Champions League, but this year Theo will play the Europa League and will be a big part of Milan’s push for the top four, something they believe is a real goal.

Even despite that, Lucas Digne – currently at Everton – does not play in the Champions League but is regularly called up. Of course he is a solid player and one that Deschamps knows well, but is he really more deserving of a spot than Theo who is over four years younger and has better statistics?

Theo will continue to keep going just as he has been used to doing since his arrival in Italy, and eventually heads will turn if he carries on at his current pace.
