There is yet more worrying injury news for head coach Stefano Pioli and AC Milan as Stefano Pioli was forced off during the 2-1 win over Sassuolo.

The Rossoneri were without Ismael Bennacer going into the trip to the Mapei Stadium as the Algeria international continues to nurse a muscle problem.

There was more injury worry for Pioli to contend with as Tonali was forced off at the break due to a physical problem, and he was replaced by Rade Krunic.

According to MilanNews, Tonali suffered a problem with his right adductor following a challenge in the game and updates on his condition will arrive in the coming hours.

As if the selection headaches weren’t already enough, Kessie went into the book on the hour mark meaning he will miss the game against Lazio, so as it stands it could be that Rade Krunic is the only fit midfielder for the game against Simone Inzaghi’s men.
