Some more information has been learned regarding the extent of the injuries sustained by central defenders Simon Kjaer and Mateo Musacchio.
In the 44th minute of Monday night’s 1-0 win over Torino, head coach Stefano Pioli was forced into an early change as Kjaer landed awkwardly when clearing a ball for a corner.
Matteo Gabbia came on for his league debut instead of Mateo Musacchio, who Pioli revealed in his post-match interview refused to come on after declaring that he has a problem in his calf.

Kjaer: The problem that forced him to leave the field is in the flexor muscle of his left thigh. The extent of the damage will be assessed tomorrow with an MRI exam.
Musacchio: In the warm-up during Monday’s game he felt tightness in his right calf. Today the Argentine did the necessary treatment and tomorrow there will be a new evaluation.
