MN: Vlahovic could be the ‘right opportunity’ for Milan – asking price drops significantly

By Oliver Fisher -

Dusan Vlahovic is dominating the headlines at the moment after it was announced earlier today that he will not renew his contract with Fiorentina.

MilanNews writes that Vlahovic could be the ‘right opportunity’ for Milan to secure their centre-forward of the future, and the Rossoneri are among the suitors for the 21-year-old after he continued his excellent form.

He has netted 25 goals in Serie A from the start of last season, he is young, he has imposing physique, can score with his head, battles for every ball, gets involved in the build-up play and has ample room for growth too.

However, there are not only the big Italian clubs keen on him as Vlahovic is also attracting top foreign clubs, but his asking price could be around half of the €60m it was over the summer. The salary demanded by the entourage of the Serbian is that of a top player, given he rejected €20m net over five years (€40m gross) from Fiorentina.

With the right formula and the club’s ambitious goals, it cannot be excluded that Milan try for Vlahovic, who himself has admitted to idolising Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

  1. Offer €35 + bonuses and give him a €4.5M/year net contract offer.

Leao/Diaz/Salesamaekers behind him with Rebic/Messias/Florenzi as the back-ups. Giroud/Columbo/Pellegri (if we decide to renew) coming off the bench? Ooooohh….goosebumps!

      1. If he stay injured most of the time like now we better not extend Ibra, his wage is too big burden for someone not playing half the matches at least
