MN: What has filtered from sources close to Milan about possible Rangnick hiring

Stefano Pioli’s work so far at AC Milan is greatly appreciated, a report claims, but the club have not ruled out the idea of replacing him amid speculation linking Ralf Rangnick with the role.

Bild caught everyone by surprise on Monday afternoon when they claimed that Rangnick – the Red Bull Head of International Relations and Scouting – is set to join Milan in the summer.

La Gazzetta dello Sport offered their take on the situation on Monday evening, stating that not even the slightest confirmation nor any sign of openness with respect to hiring of Rangnick has filtered from Casa Milan.

However, the latest from MilanNews.it’s Anto Vitiello is perhaps more interesting. He states that sources close to the club have made it known that there is great appreciation for the work that Stefano Pioli is doing.

However, at the end of the season – as normally happens – the situation will be taken into consideration and the relevant decisions will be made. Certainly far from an outright denial, some would say…
