AC Milan director Paolo Maldini has returned to duty after having kidney stones removed on Wednesday, according to a report.
We reported on Wednesday night that there was a heated confrontation between Ibrahimovic and Gazidis at Milanello, with the latter having stepped foot onto the training ground for the first time in three months.
Paolo Maldini was not present for the meeting though, and La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive) reported that he was absent due to commitments previously made.
According to the latest from MilanNews however, Maldini was present on Thursday at Milanello for training as the team rounded off their final preparations ahead of Friday’s Coppa Italia semi-final second leg against Juventus.
He was missing yesterday due to a small intervention to remove kidney stones though and not because of previously arranged commitments as the official line from the club stated. It was a minor and successful procedure for the former club captain.
