Touchline: Modric ‘feels ready’ to continue with the elites – Milan could make renewal offer official soon

AC Milan are desperately trying to get Luka Modric to renew his contract and they may have been given a golden opportunity to do so.

There has been a lot said about Modric’s future since he joined, perhaps even before it. Either way, the midfielder has never had a moment’s peace about the situation. When he joined the club, he signed a one-year deal, with the option of a second.

In most cases, he would already be a Milan player for next season; there has been no shying away from the Rossoneri’s intent to renew his deal. However, the decision will be made by the Croatian himself.

Modric’s future

A decision will only be made and announced when he is ready and when he feels it is the right time. Most reports through this season have suggested it would be a case of waiting until the end of the World Cup.

However, it may be pushed forward slightly. It is now a case of waiting until the end of the season, and even then, it could be slightly before.

Today, Touchline revealed on X that Dinamo Zagreb have been in contact, after reports that they were considering a return bid. But he wants to continue ‘in a top league’, which boosts the Diavolo’s chances significantly.

The report continues, stating that Milan are working on the renewal and it ‘could be made official next month’. It remains a waiting game, but today’s suggestion would point in favour of him staying in Milano, and some of the groundwork is already there.

  1. With Modric and luck that he keep up next season, reaching UCL we have almost complete midfield.
More games would make space for Ricci and Jashari, and the question is what is planned for Musah and Ruben Loftus cheek.
Modric quality, name and recognition could bring us some win games, and club can focus strengthening defensive and attack department much more quality.

      1. I wonder if Max can get something more out of Musah though… I mean if he can elevate Gabbia, Tomori and Pavlo….

        1. Musah and Bondo are still young. There is no need to sell them for half price.
And as you mention…. they might been used in this Milan

          1. Bondo I would keep as he’s Italy trained. Musah has none of those advantages and I’d rather bring in a veteran like Goretzka to replace him.
