Moise Kean reveals he is ‘working on a record’ with ‘golden boy’ Leao

Fiorentina striker Moise Kean has revealed that he is recording a record with the AC Milan winger Rafael Leao, who is his close friend off the pitch.

Leao is obviously best known for his exploits on the field as an AC Milan player, but away from the pitch he is building on his rap career under the pseudonym ‘Way45’. His uncle was a DJ and his father did some singing, so he grew up surrounded by music.

Kean spoke about the bond that he has with Leao during today’s edition of Sportweek, the magazine that is part of La Gazzetta dello Sport, and his comments were relayed by Radio Rossonera.

“I like to be described as a ‘trap boy’. Trap means trap, it’s a style of rap music that’s trendy, it’s a particular music. If you listen to a trap song, you get caught in the beat and that beat makes you stay trapped,” he said.

“Rafa Leao is a friend, a golden boy. I met him many years ago playing against him in the national team and since then we have maintained a very close bond. The connection I have with him and McKennie is like no other in football.

“Leao and I are working on a record together. Who understands more about music? Both of us. And fashion? Maybe me (laughs). My passion for music was born in Asti, during games with friends.

“Some were playing, others stayed aside to listen or do freestyle. Sometimes I would break away from the game and go with them.”

In terms of on-field matters, it seems that Leao has a battle on his hands for a starting spot against Napoli. Noah Okafor has impressed in recent outings and is firmly knocking on the door, but Leao has performed well in the past against the Neapolitans.

  1. LMAO!!! NO wonder Leao is off form. He’s busy brainstorming the lyrics to their next track… duh. As soon as that’s done, Leao will be back to peak form.

  2. What a loser! He is doing this because it is Milan, and our mentality and values are gone!

Try this crap at Man City or Madrid, and you will be on the bench for their third division! He is an average player; we need to sell him next summer!

    1. Exactly. You pinpoint the main problem we have. Lack of winning mentality and profesionalism. We don’t act like an ambitious club anymore. Just yesterday I was watching the Man City game. Although it was an ordinary championship match with a “small” team from the last place in the standings, I was looking at the Man City players, how motivated they were, how focused and careful not to make mistakes, how seriously they approached the match with Southampton. Although Man City’s players have won so many trophies in recent years, their hunger for results has not stopped and they seriously show up for any match, especially the ones that are considered easy. Because the secret of winning a championship is how you approach the “smaller” teams of the championship, not the derbies. The same principle applies to individual players. How you approach all matches is how you will have a career.

  3. Leao 1 g this season, while Raphinha 10 g and 8 assists.
Wasn’t there a rumor that Barcelona was interested in Leao? Well Raphinha plays in Leao’s position.
And we still have that one dude writing a million comments praising leao for his measly 1 goal this season, but he dribbles. When it comes to Leao only dribbles matter, goals are not important.
What will come first, Leao’s 2nd goal or Leao’s and Moises trap record?

    1. 10goals and 9assists, scoring 2 hattricks this season.
But Raphinha is going berserk this season. Last season and the season before he had less than 25 goals contribution per season and even less when he was in the EPL. Credits to him but I’m sur Flick played a big role in his improvment. Lewandowski is already at 17 goals this season (!) as well, demonstrating so far that their new appointed coach is doing well.
In any case, it certainly sadden me, a Milan fan to watch player who were on the same level as Leao or even less in 2021 becoming world class players and some of them maybe even modern days greats, while he is stuck on his same level or even regressing.

  4. Ii think he means drill music as Trap music been out for a whille now. Trap is the trap?? Lol would hope at least or help if he knew the trap was the drug house. But maybe he was keeping it pg for the interview
