AC Milan may receive a helping hand of sorts from their old head coach Vincenzo Montella who is targeting a midfielder no longer part of the plans, a report claims.
According to Calciomercato.com, one of Milan’s main priorities in the January transfer window will be to find accommodation for Tiemouè Bakayoko, who has not been used by Stefano Pioli for a single minute in the first part of the season.

His salary of around €3m has become an ‘unsustainable burden’ for the management of the Rossoneri, so much so that a meeting is expected in the next few days with the representatives of the French midfielder to study a way out.
After declining several offers last summer, Bakayoko seems oriented to leave Milan in the winter and in the last few hours Vincenzo Montella has come forward, as he wants the former Monaco man at Adana Demispor in Turkey.
What remains to be seen is Bakayoko’s willingness to go and play in Turkey but the advantageous economic conditions could be decisive. Milan would of course be happy because it would save them salary and also any chance of having to pay the €15m to buy him from Chelsea (a loan with option that becomes an obligation under certain conditions).
