MN: ‘No quarrel’ – Morata’s potential move to Galatasaray not related to Conceicao rumours

Reports since the Champions League defeat to Dinamo Zagreb have suggested that Alvaro Morata and Sergio Conceicao had an argument post-game, and now the AC Milan forward is set to depart.

We know that Conceicao’s emotions can get the better of him. Already, he has admitted as much to the press, and we saw it first-hand with Davide Calabria at the weekend. So, when there were suggestions about a clash with Morata, they were not overlooked.

It would make complete sense for this to be the case. With Milan in a poor position and certain players not up to standard, if there were frustrations voiced, it would not come as a shock.

However, Milan News reports that there was in fact ‘no quarrel’ between the two, despite reports suggesting otherwise. The Spaniard was understanding of the decision to put Samuel Chukwueze, given it is what the game needed.

With the reports about Morata’s likely departure arriving this afternoon, it would certainly make sense if they were fuelled by the suggestions about what took place in the dressing room last night, but it seems the two are not linked.

The report does state that the striker wants to ‘maintain his role’ in the starting XI for the Inter clash, but it seems this may not be possible with an exit possible.

    1. That leaves us with only Tammy and Luka on the striker dept next derby. Unless we can sign someone. But that someone will also need some adaptation period.

      1. I don’t hold much hope for things to turn around. Unless there’s a serious improvement out of the blue I doubt our fortunes will change from now till season end. Sarge has the same problems as did Fonz but he seems more lost. Attacking a player in public is just unprofessional. At least if the team was winning with a system he implemented then it would “make sense”. But these coaches trying to revolutionize the team when small changes slowly would be a better approach. We had 4+ years with Piolisimo. That ain’t going to change from the bat. Slot was smart enough not to rock the boat with Pool and then slowly introduce his ideas….but Slot is a more expensive coach and a vastly better coach. And you/we got what was paid for. The only thing that’s better was Sarge was able to galvanize the team to winning a trophy.

        1. Oh I agree 100%,.

We’re just gonna stumble towards the summer with little to show for it. But that’s on management – that’s how strapped they have left this squad.

Conseisao needs to be given a fair shot, with the players he wants for the system he will play. That means players with grit, worthy of the shirt. Fighters.

If that means offloading all the garbage, then be it, Because there is A LOT to unfcuk at this club after Pioli and Fonseca.

    1. Do you even know football? Ferguson had bad temper and is among the best. We have a poor dressing room culture, we’re close to reach Manchester united situation. Fiorentina games demonstrated that. We need to clear out the bad actors like Ruben is doing. Portuguese are about discipline, Mou, Amorin, Fonseca. The says a lot about the players attitude not the coach.

      1. Mourinho never disrespect his player’s on the field or in press conferences. He will only push them to peak or he will get rid of them.

I don’t think it’s good to compare Amorim and conceicao with Mourinho. Both Amorim and conceicao have a lot of things to prove before you even think of them comparing to Mourinho.

        1. “Mourinho never disrespect his player’s on the field or in press conferences”

LOL. You didn’t read ANY news during his last season in Roma, now did you? 😀 😀 😀 😀

      2. Of all the teams lol my adopted second team. We lost many of experienced players over time because we were too cheap to pay them. Our midfield should be Kessie/Hakan + Benny/Tonali…as subs. Reinjders and Fofana would have been welcomed additions but with serious competition to start.
And that’s just off the top as to why we’re dysfunctional. But I digress
The original point was on the coach and I can tell Sarge doesn’t have the group with him. It’s the same with Fonz. And when you don’t have that then it’s much harder to implement your tactics /methods. But some coaches are good at adapting to what they have rather than imposing too much too soon. And that’s whats going on here. Plus management don’t support either coaches because they don’t have faith in them as evidenced by their short contracts. So that makes it even harder to clean house or impose themselves in the team. And both coaches doesn’t have a big enough personality and experience to overcome these things

  1. Yes, sign Gimenez and get rid of him. He is overpaid for what he provider, by a lot. You can find attackers that run around aimlessly and defend, while being unable to score, for 10 times less. Easy, the “don’t have in their head but have in their legs” category.

  2. Sergio might be the nail in the coffin for Milan. He is aggressive, maybe too aggressive for Milan. His feuds with players and staff are well-known; Ibra apparently made the wrong choice again. lol A Serie A-proven coach was what was needed.

      1. Didn’t you post that Conceicao is the answer to our problems after we beat you guys for the meaningless trophy?

        1. When Sergio was announced as the new coach, I made a post or two about his difficult character, and concluded that a Serie A-proven coach was what Milan needed. Then Milan won the Super Cup, and for a moment I thought his character could help Milan. But after his show with Calabria….
Sergio has potential and also is hard working; he prepares a combatative style of play. He needs backing in the transfer market from the club; he is the third coach in less than a year who fails with this lazy team, so it is primarily some players’ fault. However, Milan is a big club where pressure already is high, so Sergio should know how to avoid being too aggressive with his players. Time will tell how things will go on, but I would not choose Sergio as coach for Milan.

          1. “he prepares a combatative style of play”

Sorry man he maybe _tries_ to prep the team this way. Every observation shows they are unprepared at the beginning of games.

  3. I’m 💯 per cent in support of any action Conceicao’s took toward any players that played below expectations and that doesn’t meet the standard.

87% of present Milan players are not worth wearing Milan shirt.

      1. Power Reijnders, Big Mike, Gabbia & Calabria (last two are doing their best, they’re just not better than this)

      2. Reijnders, Fofana, Maignan, Pulisic, Gabbia, Pavlo (so far).

That’s it. Everyone else is either too inconsistent or too PrimaDona to play here.

  4. Our useless management actively admitting their summer singings were failures. Fofana and have luckily come good, even if fofana was slightly overpriced, he needs a rest.

  5. FULL SUPPORT FOR THE COACH !!!! WE SHOULDN;T HAVE TO BABYSIT THESE YOUNG MILLIONARES !!! LETS CLEAN HOUSE AND GET RID OF ALL THE DEAD NON-PRODUCTING PLAYERS …. (at least 6-7 players ). good luck coach …
