Creative 10? What we lack more is midfielder capable of passing the ball forward and creating chances. With 4-3-3 or 4-3-2-1 we don’t need a #10 at all. And we all should consider Morata IS our #10 now. Even if on paper he’d be the #9 he will never play there as he’d get zero service and drops down due to that.

100% fact. He is forced to drop deep and that means there is no one to score the goals because he can’t be in two places at the same time. And add the fact that he actually needs 10 chances to score one goal… Not a good equation, now is it?

Let’s see a couple games with our best XI, Leão Puli Chuku and Morata up front and Tjji in midfield. Then we can judge. I don’t think we’ve had more than one look at that lineup.

Rewind the tape and see many (me included) said this would happen. He needs 10 great chances to score one goal. That has always been the case with him and always will be. He’s not the #9 we needed. It’s possible he’s the #10 we thought we didn’t need though… Helluva sure he’s 100x better than RLC!
If we got J.David or Guirassy instead of Abraham, scoring goals might not have been our issue.

we hade zero goal scorers on the field againt Napoli a team which lets in about zero goals per game. The lack of goals wasn’t very surprising once you saw the line up. To not have either Leao, Theo, Reijnders, Pulisic, Abraham and Gabbia is to be without half our best starting line up. The one that beat Inter. Let’s not forget that. We have done good matches once we have our players available. Sure we could have had Leao on the pitch. But the others were out. And that’s very unfortunate for the team and coach. He isn’t getting much luck Fonseca. Leaving Leao on the bench wasn’t a good choiche. I’ll say that, but other than that he couldn’t do much else. Maybe play Tomori instead of Pavlovic. But who knew that even Pavlovic would be like a fly against the giant Lukaku?
