Francesco Camarda has been called up for tonight’s Champions League game against Club Brugge and in addition to it being an exciting opportunity, it raises questions about the health of AC Milan’s attack.
As Calciomercato.com recall, Camarda did the training session yesterday with the senior side ahead of starting on the bench against the Belgian champions, picking up tips from Alvaro Morata who will start. Tammy Abraham is injured and Luka Jovic is not on the UCL squad list, so the teenager has a real chance of making his debut.
Milan have pretty clear ideas about Camarda: in two years he will be a protagonist in the first team more regularly, once he has done an apprenticeship with Milan Futuro in Serie C so he can get used to facing adults.
Morata in that sense was the perfect signing given that he will be 33 in two years and potentially ready to hand over the baton, depending on how Camarda is doing. Meanwhile, Luka Jovic and Milan are in the final stages of their relationship so his exit seems guaranteed.
Abraham is also in the balance, having started his adventure with the Rossoneri at full speed only to then encounter difficulties in finding the net (without considering the physical and indiscipline problems). There is no option to buy in the loan deal with Roma, so he must convince the management to negotiate for his permanent signing.
Next summer it feels likely that a striker will be signed, and Santiago Gimenez of Feyenoord remains a concrete lead even if expensive (around €40m). Given that the directors have so far preferred to keep expenses around €20m, it remains to be seen if they would pay double.
Another profile followed is that of Ange-Yoan Bonny of Parma, who has scored three goals in eight games at the start of this season. The costs would certainly be closer to the €20m mark and he would be an investment for the future. There is certainly no shortage of ideas, but at the centre of everything remains the growth of Camarda.
20m for three goals?
Although he’s a bit pricey, gimenez is the best option by far, a natural goal scorer just like David who was fonsesca’s main man at Lille, and with similar playing styles he should do good
Jimenez is the same price that we were willing to spend on zirkee, so not that bad
Best option? Based on what?
Best option is obviously Osi. If we land Osi we’re golden
You guys could have bought Ilenikhena that has European competition exp but no
Also Semih Kiliçsoy is way better and available.
Also I’ll add Spiten-Nysæter, Cande from Porto Matkovic , Hekimoglu, Jonathan David konate from Salzburg
Change?? Again?? 🤦♂️
Et pourquoi pas Frantzy Pierrot D’AEK Athènes.
Et pourquoi pas Frantzy Pierrot D’AEK Athènes. Meilleur qu’Abraham.
Go for Leverkusen Victor Boniface
Bologna striker Santiago Castro is another good and promising striker at a more cheaper price and i see him becoming more of Laturo Martinez.
