AC Milan are in talks over the extension of Rafael Leao’s contract, it has been confirmed by journalist Matteo Moretto.
While 2025-26 has not been the easiest for Leao so far in terms of being able to stay consistently fit, when he has played he has contributed some important goals, with six in 11 games in Serie A so far.

When Massimiliano Allegri arrived back in the summer, one of his immediate convictions was to play Leao as a centre-forward rather than as a winger, and he does seem more dangerous closer to goal.
Earlier this morning, Daniele Longo reported that the management want to tie the Portuguese down with a contract extension. His current deal expires in 2028, having last renewed in 2022-23, so there is no emergency like with Mike Maignan.

Milan ‘intend to reward’ Leao
Now, Matteo Moretto has provided an update in his daily video on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, confirming the story from earlier.
“We talked about it at the end of October and reiterated it at the beginning of November: Milan are working on Leao’s contract renewal. Clearly, Milan has priorities, especially based on deadlines. Maignan, Tomori, Saelemaekers has already renewed,” he said.
“Milan began discussions regarding the renewal with adjustments with Rafa Leao at the beginning of October, and negotiations are ongoing. The numbers and everything need to be worked out, but Milan intends to reward Leao for what he’s demonstrating on the pitch.”

didnt he get a renewal already till 2030??
U a bum
Time for us to sell Leao. He falls over too easily for a big framed guy, getting injured often, terrible in off the ball hustling, not a leader.
We should go for Ademola Lookman. Pay whatever Atalanta wants. Spend every cent we have available to sign him. Give the attack proper juice and quit hoping and wishing and praying and taking chances.
We gotta score to win.
We can’t keep trying to pass the ball into the net.
