Moretto: Galatasaray offer Calabria ‘substantial’ pay rise – his response

Galatasaray have come forward and made an offer to Davide Calabria but he has rejected the idea of joining them, according to a report.

Calabria is in a strange position whereby his contract expires in 11 months and a renewal does not seem to be imminent, while Milan are seemingly pushing to sign a new right-back – with Emerson Royal close to arriving – that could take his starting spot.

Moreover, reports have surfaced suggesting that the Milan captain wants a big pay rise in order to renew his deal and it is one that the management have not been willing to offer for the time being.

According to the latest from Matteo Moretto and Fabrizio Romano on their Playback stream (via MilanNews), Galatasaray have come forward with an attempt to try and sign Calabria.

The Italian has taken note of what the Turkish club are offering him – and it is ‘substantially superior’ to his current salary at Milan – but he has decided not to accept.

The also state that an offer came in from Al-Shabab in Saudi Arabia for Yacine Adli but again the player turned it down because he does not want to leave, while Fode Ballo-Toure is wanted by Watford and Leeds.
