Moretto: Latest on Botman and Renato Sanches; a ‘big name’ winger will arrive

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are expected to close the signing of Renato Sanches soon and they are targeting a big name right winger, a journalist has claimed.

According to Matteo Moretto, Milan have had an agreement in place with Renato Sanches over personal terms for several months. Not only that, but the Portuguese midfielder has already told some friends in the Milan dressing room that he is ready to sign for the club.

What is missing to close the deal? There is currently still no full agreement between Milan and Lille on the transfer fee as there is a distance of a few million, but the feeling is that for around €20m the operation can be closed and he will sign a four-year deal.

In terms of other targets, Moretto adds that Sven Botman – also of Lille – prefers Milan to other destinations, but there is still no agreement between the clubs over a fee. Divock Origi will arrive at the end of the month on a free transfer, and for the right wing ‘a big name’ is expected that can give the attack a leap in quality.

    1. Zaniolo is the worst case scenario as Berardi costs half and provides over 30 goal contributions per season – unlike Zaniolo’s 4-5.

    1. hahahahaha. if only he was as motivated to play for club as he is for country. it’s so entertaining. Playing for Wales, he’s a 50M player. Plays for club… not a $1, he doesnt even play.
Not even Maldini can motivate the guy
