Interest is brewing from the MLS in AC Milan striker Olivier Giroud and the Rossoneri are unlikely to dip into the market in January, a report claims.
As has been reported by Matteo Moretto for SOS Fanta, the French striker is a target for MLS clubs who want a reliable forward with years of experience at a high level.
MLS clubs are not expected to be able to sign him until the end of the season, but in the meantime, Milan are not likely to sign a new striker in January to add more depth.
They plan to finish the season with Giroud, Luka Jovic and Noah Okafor as the players who can be the main striker at any given time.
With Jovic yet to fully impress, there is the potential for lots of changes in the attack next summer. Giroud is in the frame for a new contract but should that not be agreed, MLS is a possible destination.
Please sell him by January already, he has tried for us.
Not Happening. Giroud wants to play in the Euros and if he goes to the MLS he could lose that spot.
By that I mean I agree with the article. January is very unlikely.
