‘Como also asked’ – Moretto states Milan have been contacted for Jimenez move

There has been a bit of interest in Alex Jimenez this summer, but there has been no chance of it going past interest so far, thanks to AC Milan.

Managing a player like Jimenez in this Milan team is difficult. Realistically, there is a position there for him; finally, he can fit into a wing-back spot that has probably been waiting for him for a while now. However, he is not the first choice.

On his favoured right side, there are Alexis Saelemaekers and now Zachary Athekame, whilst on the left, Pervis Estupinan is favoured. In fact, the Ecuadorian was taken off after 45 minutes on Saturday, allowing the Spaniard onto the pitch.

New option?

So, finding minutes in a period where development is key is proving to be difficult, and the Rossoneri may have a difficult task on their hands. However, he could progress elsewhere, and there has been interest.

Napoli sought a permanent option this summer, as have a few other clubs, but Matteo Moretto reports that there has been new contact for the wing-back.

Today, he states that Como have been in touch regarding a loan move for the young Spaniard. At the moment, it has just been asked whether anything will come from it remains to be seen.

  1. I hope this is fake news. If we loan him out to an ambitious team like Como that would be terrible decision. That’ll show we lack the necessary ambition.

  2. Every player at Milan has been fair game this mercato, ito enquiries at least. Every team is just gunning for us. At this rate there will be nothing left on the bench. Strangely nobody is coming for those outside the plans (Adli, Ben,…)

    1. Not quite everyone. There are several who no one else seems to want, like Adli, Bannacer, Gabbia and a few others. But yes, I get your point.

  3. Of course sell the players who are well settled for new unheard of foreigners.
We had Theo and Jimenez 2 players made to be wing backs and the first season we play with wing backs we sell them. It’s genius really!

But I suppose Thiaw was made to play in the middle of a back 3.

Oh and Tiji was made to play in a 3 man midfield.

I can see why we sold them this season.

The only goal scorer in the team is Pulisic and he doesn’t even fit the system lol.

    1. I wrote a similar thing in another article though tongue in cheek. Seems like if the player fits the system nicely then we sell them lol 😁. Some genius level 1000 stuff going on with our club.
Also, other clubs know very well we have a price and are easy sellers. Doesn’t matter when in the window. I’m sure if someone comes with 85m for Leao or 60m for Puli on the last day of the transfer window we’ll accept….just knowing how they love a cap gain

      1. At the end of the day if someone like Jashari was to explode we’ll sell to balance books. So we are building nothing.
Selling Tiji was a crime, we could have built a team around him.
Plus we had lots of players to sell to raise funds. Just dumb.

Como look good. Nico Paz is class. The kind of player we should be adding not selling.
We have another mix of rubbish players arriving, maybe one will be good.
Boniface saga is an embarrassment too.

I would have done a better job at 16

        1. That’s exactly the fear too…let’s say Jashari does explode…. someone offers a number that tips the scale of Furlani’s “sell” threshold and off they go 😔
It’s almost like you can’t rejoice too quickly or build attachment to players. Often I find myself defending players who are here for a while even if at first I’m not in agreement of the transfer, just simply out of stability. We’re changing too much too often.

    2. Forgot to add….was thinking Tiji would have been perfect in the midfield 3 as well. As we’re now crowding the midfield he’s good in tight spaces…🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

    3. Allegri are the one that asking him to be sold ( Jimenez) , that kid always late coming to training and allegri punish him not include him in pre season to england and now sending him to milan futuro to train alone. If allegri use 352 RWB will be saladmaker & athekame so jimenez are surplus. There is also obstacle for jimenez if ACM keep play him : buyback from Real Madrid, thats why they consider selling him to como or loan him until Real madrid buyback expire in 2026

  4. Como is looking really good and did very well against a formidable opponent in Lazio. I might have to revise my predictions and say top 4 🤔
Fab has these guys playing so well, with structure and looking to attack….the things we want for our team ironically /s. I also liked their recruitment campaign, though I think they should have held on to Strefezza. Nonetheless….love seeing them play. Hopefully we can recruit Fab next year

    1. For all his talent, his attitude and mentality are questionable, if we could get the 25 for him, it’s a very good deal….

  5. We should play 4-3-3 and give Jimenez the keys to the right back position. He may have to work himself into it defensively, but if he can get that part sorter, then we have one of the best full backs in the league. His drive with the ball is truly exciting, and his “go getter” attitude on the pitch is something we need in a team with very little personality.

  6. If we can sell him for 20-25M it should be done. Wasn’t that Doue guy close to that price? Even if Milan tries to sell him Madrid may come up with a combination to make the money instead of Milan. Until his buyback is removed he is not really a Milan player…

  7. There are a lot of disciplinary issues with Alex Jim off the field. He’s been late to practice several times and rumors have it Allegri has already addressed it with him to no avail. He was left out of the team that traveled to England for the friendlies as a consequence.

If Max pulls the plug, they might offload him.

    1. You can see the disciplinary issues on the pitch too. Once again a stupid yellow card that risked him getting another later in the game.
