Moretto warns Milan will work ‘a lot’ in the final days of the transfer window

Matteo Moretto has warned that AC Milan fans might need to spend a little bit more time reading news in the coming days, with multiple transfers expected.

The last few days have been a bit chaotic as far as the mercato is concerned. While it initially looked good for Milan, especially after Ardon Jashari’s arrival, criticism is starting to creep up as the Rossoneri are yet to sign a striker.

Lorenzo and Stefano discussed the issues in their latest Pub Chat, named Mercato Madness, and it’s hard to disagree about the notion. With just five days left on the window (it closes Monday evening), there is still a lot that could happen.

Moretto’s warning

In his latest YouTube video, Matteo Moretto mostly talked about Milan and that tells you a lot about how intense the last days could be. Indeed, there aren’t just signings to make but, above all, sales as many players are looking for a move away from San Siro.

“There are several open fronts at Milan, various evaluations are underway. I told you to keep an eye out for surprises too, because Milan need to work a lot on incoming transfers, but also, perhaps above all, on outgoing ones. There are several players looking for a solution,” he stated.

In short, it’s likely we will all spend a bit more time reading about the latest developments over the next few days. Hopefully, Milan will act swiftly and get the desired deals over the line. Samuel Chukwueze’s permanent transfer to Fulham would be a good start.

  1. Unfortunately Milan needs 3 players 5 days before the window ends. And do we even have a LB backup? Bartesaghi? Tare you better get to work.

  2. 3 player in the last 4 days. I will give tare 2 thumb up if he can find striker, CB, and midfielder ( yunus musah replacement)

  3. i dont get it.. dont they see these guys on the training pitch every day to know what players are needed or not? It’s the same story every year, we are linked early in the window with the mbappes, ronaldos and messi of the world, end up loaning some Daniel R from some sunday league the last day of the window.

  4. End of the market is usually reserved for final touches to a team already assembled. Not at Milan though. At Milan we are still searching for critical pieces into the final week of the mercato.
