Multiple sources claim Inter are closing in on deal for major Milan and Juventus target

By Oliver Fisher -

Inter are ahead in the race to land reported Milan and Juventus target Sandro Tonali from Brescia, according to multiple reports.

The Rossoneri have been repeatedly linked with a move for Tonali as they look for a long-term partner for Ismael Bennacer in the engine room of the midfield.

Numerous sources have claimed Milan’s interest in Tonali is genuine despite his reported €50million price tag, with the Diavolo hoping to play on the fact he is a boyhood fan of the club and would instantly be a protagonist of a new youth-led Milan side.

However, the latest from broadcaster Sky Italia (as cited by Football Italia) suggests that Tonali has agreed a move to Inter, however there is no deal between Brescia and Nerazzurri.

Inter have a ‘strategic advantage’ over the competition and are ‘confident they will get the deal over the line’ and have Tonali in their ranks for next season.

Our correspondent Vito Angele also believes that Tonali is close to joining the biggest rivals of his boyhood team, as does Fabrizio Romano.
