Rafael Leao has been linked with a number of different clubs in recent weeks, but now a new surprise contender has emerged: Serie A champions Napoli.

The fact that Leao is one of the most talked about players before the transfer window opens is nothing new and even as the summer mercato approaches, many admirers are knocking on the door.

However, Milan are about to begin a new era with Igli Tare and Massimiliano Allegri in command. Both the new sporting director and the new head coach are believed to want to build around the winger.

Napoli ponder bold Leao swoop

According to Il Mattino (via Radio Rossonera), one of the teams interested in the Portuguese are Napoli, fresh from the Scudetto won in the final round of the season.

It is an ambitious idea that is tempting for Giovanni Manna, the sporting director, who is waiting on the sidelines for any developments in the event of a rift between Leao and Milan.

However, it is more realistic (and more affordable) to imagine Federico Chiesa or Riccardo Orsolini in Naples. Nonetheless, Leao wants to play in the Champions League and Napoli will do that.

The Partenopei have made it known that they are very interested and Manna is thinking about beginning some discussions with Leao’s entourage.

Kicker in Germany reported earlier on Monday that Leao is also in the sights of Bayern Munich, and that a meeting took place between his agents and their management.

    1. Yeah every summer we are selling everyone, the whole team according to these sources hahha … Who did we actually sell besides Tonali two years ago? … Right no one?!

  1. Who ever wants Leao will need to pay at least 100 mil so even if it’s an Italian side, we win out b/c I doubt he’ll do better than his MVP year, the team that buys him will be out 100 mil so most likely they won’t make many other additions, and we’ll get enough to fund major moves which would make the losses from the champions league (or lack of) basically not a factor other than hitting our pride. Additionally, losing Leao actually opens up ur tactical possibilities. So keep him or sell him makes no difference to me as long as it’s over 100 mil.

  2. Let him bloody go he is so bloody lazy we will mctominay in a straight sway that will get leao of the Wage bill as well.
Least mctominay will run for 90 mins and scores goals. That lazy burglar does nothing.

  3. He wants to play CL and he totally screw up last season with his lazy ass who told him lazy people play Cl wish him best of luck as long as the 100m is standby we good to go

    1. Good a thing someone like you don’t own a club because you will breed zombies for players take it or leave it leo has not gotten there yet and he don’t want to get there with his attitude you can leak his ass if you want till reality dawn on you

  4. I am happy that no one of you is the director or coach… it’s people with same mind as you that destroy this club..
“Sell him for 100 and buy 2 others” what crap is this? Is it your mother’s money or what?
As fan I want to see the best players and beautiful game.. then if the owners make money enough or not.. who f*cking care.. do you think they care if you can pay your rent!
Leao is amazing to watch.. the only magic in Milan.. keep him.. keep the best we have and buy even for 200 more.. let them use their dirty money so we can enjoy little football

  5. We must learn to play hardball in any circumstances. Liverpool have reportedly seen some €130M monster bid for Florian Wirtz turned down by Bayer Leverkusen, to name a a recent example. I know, Rafa is older, and less valued today, but the board can’t afford to be lax on this one. And the same reasoning applies to Theo and Reijinders.

  6. Believe every news you come across, especially during this mercato period at your own peril

  7. 5 years ago we had the chance to get Ralf Ragnick, it would be a huge entertainment nowadays in san siro. But we are not that lucky we have to watch Allegri ball next year – which is just midle age soccer. However honestly there was just one huge mistake this season, get a pro center back instead of felix in winter and all would have turned into great 😉

    1. You really believe without UCL Rodrigo will snub Arsenal for Milan. You’re laughable, this isn’t Career mode or Ultimate bro wake up.
