Napoli captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo has looked ahead to their game against AC Milan on Tuesday night, but it is one he perhaps shouldn’t be available for.

Antonio Conte’s side beat Lecce 1-0 this afternoon to ensure they will stay top of the table for another round at least, while waiting for Inter-Juventus tomorrow night and with Milan’s game postponed.

Di Lorenzo got the only goal early in the first half, continuing the brilliant start for Napoli under their new head coach. They face a Rossoneri side next week who will be without Theo Hernandez and Tijjani Reijnders due to their suspension, one which should have been served vs. Bologna.

After the game the wing-back spoke to DAZN to reflect on the game and also to look ahead to Tuesday’s match at San Siro.

“Milan and Atalanta? The ambition is to always play to win, we have done it in all the games. These are the games [vs. Lecce] that are easy on paper, but in reality they are not. All the teams must be faced, but then what counts is what we do,” he said (via MilanNews).

However, the Italy international probably should not have seen out the match today and should be suspended for the Milan trip.

Luca Marelli – the former referee and DAZN video reviewer – spoke after the game about the foul from Di Lorenzo on Ante Rebic which should have got him a second yellow card.

“In the 92nd minute, on a long throw, Rebic was stopped by Di Lorenzo with a foul. Rebic was entering the area and here the yellow was coded, it would have been a second yellow and red for Di Lorenzo,” he said (via MilanNews).

      1. Just he will play against us… it is misunderstanding article. But it is still Di Lorenzo, not Marcelo in his prime. Average 31 years old injuries prone player from Roma who will play against Rafa or Okafor.. I don’t underrated him but we saw his games against us and you know how I mean it
