AC Milan received a boost on Friday in their preparation for the match against Napoli at the weekend as star striker Victor Osimhen will be missing through injury for the league leaders.
The Nigerian striker has been one of the major stars in Europe this season and has scored 25 goals already. A muscle injury means he will miss Sunday’s Serie A clash and is also at risk of missing the Champions League tie.
As recounted by Calciomercato.com, Napoli have been able to cope well without Osimhen in the past. Between September 7 and October 12, Napoli played six games without Osimhem and they won all six of them.
In the four league games that Napoli played without him, they beat Milan at San Siro, Spezia and Torino at home and Cremonese in Lombardia.
In the six games, they scored 10 times and only conceded three times so even with Giacomo Raspadori injured, Giovanni Simeone has been a great deputy.
