Tuttosport: Napoli and Spurs enter Belotti race as Milan and Inter stall

By Oliver Fisher -

As the days and weeks pass Andrea Belotti’s future is seemingly no closer to being decided, but Napoli have re-entered the race to sign him as per a report.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews) Napoli are trying to enter the race to sign Belotti, whose contract expires at the end of the season meaning that he would be available on a free transfer when the season ends.

The newspaper claims that both AC Milan and Inter have not turned their interest into anything concrete while Napoli are looking for a back-up to Victor Osimhen given that Dries Mertens will depart in June.

The idea of a move to Naples does not excite Belotti and his family, who would prefer Milan or Atalanta more, but the Bergamo club would only make their move in the event that either Luis Muriel or Duvan Zapata were to leave, and their offer would not break the salary ceiling set at €2m net per season.

Tuttosport adds to keep an eye on foreign options too, because in England Antonio Conte’s Tottenham are enticed by the 28-year-old.
