Nazione: Fiorentina striker gets ready to meet idol Ibrahimovic and mentor Pioli amid Milan links

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have put Dusan Vlahovic in their sights ahead of Sunday’s meeting with Fiorentina, and some interesting information on the striker has emerged.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reported yesterday that that at the moment Vlahovic does not seem willing to consider renewing with Fiorentina despite the offer of his pay tripling, which has alerted the antennae of Roma and Milan.

The Milan leadership could soon make their move as on Sunday, Fiorentina-Milan will take place at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, an extra chance for the Diavolo to get a close look at the 21-year-old striker who has a valuation that is around €40million.

Now, Florence-based newspaper La Nazione (via MilanNews) discusses what the future holds for Vlahovic, writing that many coaches have had an impact on the 21-year-old’s growth, but Pioli perhaps has a little more than the others. It was he, in fact, who threw him into the fray the first few times and always emphasises how he would have bet on the explosion of Dusan.

He has a great desire to grow and he takes advice on board, also learning from opponents as well as his team-mates. On Sunday he could face off against his great idol Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Vlahovic is in crosshairs of the big names.
