Negotiations on a new contract for AC Milan striker Olivier Giroud are set to begin soon with the bulk happening after the World Cup, a report claims.
As has been reported by Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, the French forward is currently focusing on the last game of the first half of the season with Milan and will then be only thinking about the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

Once the tournament is over though, the focus will shift to a contract extension with the Rossoneri that will keep him at the club until June 2024, which is a one-year extension.
The Frenchman has been in superb for Milan this season, and just generally since he joined the club from Chelsea.
He has been carrying the team in the goalscoring department in the absence of a fit and effective deputy although Stefano Pioli will hope that Divock Origi is growing into that role slowly.
