MN: New updates arrive as talks are ongoing over pair of crucial renewals

Talks are ongoing between the AC Milan management and the entourages of both Rafael Leao and Ismael Bennacer over contract extensions, a report claims.

According to Antonio Vitiello’s editorial for MilanNews, the break for the World Cup means now is the time to think more decisively about the renewals of Leao and Bennacer, with the winger and the midfielder both ‘doing well at Milan’.

The dialogue with the club continues, and recently there have been new updates between the parties. Starting with Bennacer, it is only a question of finding an agreement on the figure of his new salary, which should be over €4m net per season.

Regarding Leao, the real obstacle is the compensation owed to Sporting CP because this also affects the request for his new salary and bonuses. The confusion that reigns around Rafa still exists, because agent Jorge Mendes and French lawyer Ted Dimvula have opposing views on the future of the Portuguese.

The deadline set by Maldini back on 11 October – when he declared he wanted to find a solution before the World Cup – has now passed.

  1. Common Paolo it’s either dumb or deliver…there is no confusion in both cases one wants 4m simple and other wants to either go free or compensation along with 7 to 8 m with hefty bonuses….till then we will enjoy him till for 18 months……

  2. Future of Leao is grim. Never thought that he would renew, this is according to expectations.

Bennacer, on the other hand, I am somewhat more optimistic. But there is competition, so it will be hard.

  3. Leao still havent learn from cashie and dollaruma? He can just google for 5 minutes and see how much they cry and want to go back to milan
