Numbers show how Loftus-Cheek has become a key cog for Milan since arriving

Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s importance to AC Milan was there for all to see during the win over Paris Saint-Germain, but the numbers also demonstrate how big his impact might be.

The return of Loftus-Cheek to the starting line-up was eagerly awaits and he did not disappoint in his first start after being out for a month. He dominated the midfield for 90 minutes, and MilanNews have highlighted how the stats show Milan are a transformed team when he plays.

Loftus-Cheek has made 10 appearances this season, from which have come seven wins, one draw and two defeats (one of which was against Udinese when he came on late on at 0-1). The Rossoneri score 1.7 goals per game on average, and obtain 2.2 points per game.

    1. Most people over the summer were trashing every transfer Milan made because they were/some still are mad Maldini got fired.

      1. The approach of RLC was started by Maldini. And I can proudly say that I was one of the supporters of RLC move since the news first emerged. As I’m aware that what we lack is his physicality and the way he can hold up ball & play.

      2. I’m pretty sure this move was happening when Maldini was director. Then halted when he was fired but then brought back again eventually, so I think your point is wrong as it would actually be a positive to Maldini that this has worked out so far.

  1. There’s no argument: with RLC in midfield we get speed and physicality that’s otherwise not there with any other player. RLC is the only one who can bulldoze forward the way he does.
