Official: Abisso will officiate Torino-Milan – the precedents for both teams

By Oliver Fisher -

It has been confirmed that the AIA have assigned referee Rosario Abisso to take charge of the game between Torino and AC Milan on Sunday night.

Our colleagues at SempreMilan.it confirm that Abisso will be the match director for the game on Sunday at 20:45 local time. His assistants with the flags will be Di Vuolo and Yoshikawa, with Maresca fourth official. Aureliano will be the VAR chief, with Muto his assistant.

The last two games Abisso (36) took charge of were Atalanta 0-2 Lazio in which he gave a red card and two yellows, and Cremonese 1-4 Napoli which saw two yellows and a penalty awarded.

There are eight previous matches involving Milan that Abisso has refereed with six of them ending in Rossoneri victories, plus one draw and one defeat (back in 2017, away against). Milan have won the last six games that were officiated by Abisso.

The previous games involving Torino and Abisso are much more balanced with 13 games overall resulting in five wins for the Granata, 4 draws and as many defeats.
