Official: AC Milan complete permanent signing of 18-year-old Asteras Tripolis goalkeeper

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have bolstered their Primavera with the signing of Fotios Pseftis from Asteras Tripolis on a permanent basis, it has been announced.

Pseftis actually joined back in September of 2020 on a loan with option to buy deal and has impressed enough for the Rossoneri to make it a permanent deal. He played mostly for the U18 side last season but did also appear for the Primavera, conceding 13 goals in 10 appearances across all competitions.

A report on GreekReporter writes that Pseftis has convinced Milan’s technical directors of his enormous potential and made them activate his buy-out option. Asteras have also commented on his exit too, stating “We are proud of the development of Fotis Pseftis, to whom we wish every success in his professional career.”

He becomes the latest keeper to join Milan from the Greek club after Antonio Donnarumma and Nikos Michelis before him, and it will now be seen if he makes the leap to being a starter for the Primavera or whether that will still be Andreas Jungdal.
