Official: AC Milan confirm signing of Samuel Chukwueze on deal until 2028

AC Milan have officially announced that they have singed winger Samuel Chukwueze on a permanent deal from Villarreal.

In a statement on their website, Milan expressed their delight in being able to announce the signing of Samuel Chimerenka Chukwueze from Villarreal CF. The Nigerian forward has signed for the Rossoneri on a five-year deal, therefore until June 2028.

Born in Umuahia (Nigeria) on 22 May 1999, Chkuwueze came through the Diamond Football Academy Youth Sector before moving to Villarreal in 2017.

With the Spanish club’s B team, he played 20 games and scored four goals before making his debut with the senior team in September 2018, going on to feature 207 times, scoring 37 goals, and winning 1 Europa League.

He has been capped 28 times for Nigeria and scored four goals, and the article also confirms that the 24-year-old has decided to wear the No.21 shirt.

Milan have been in the market for a new right winger this summer and Chukwueze has always been the first choice, given he amassed 13 goals and 11 assists in all competitions last season for the Yellow Submarine.

  1. I’ll just say this: Serie A ain’t ready for us!!
PS: Inter, we have some unfisihed business to address! 🔴⚫️

  2. I want to see this team play next season:-
    Mike
    Calabria/New Thaiw. Tomori. Theo
    Reijnders. Musah/RLC
    Chuk. Pulisic. Leao
    Noah/Giroud/New

    1. I guess you missed the 4-3-3 memo:

      Mike
      Calabria-Thiaw-Tomori-Theo
      RLC-Musah-Rejinders (Bennacer)
      Chukwueze-Giroud-Leao

Pulisic to play for Leao or Chuk for rest and/or injury.

        1. Pulisic? I’m a little anxious having watched all of his games the last 5 years. I think he’s better in open space and a little more fast than smooth.

      1. I don’t know. I think this means Pioli is going back to his beloved 4-2-3-1. But with this depth we can d0 4-3-3 if a player needs a rest or gets injured. Many options now with these signings.

    1. Imo this is the ranking for all our signings:-
      Chuk>> Pulisic>> Romero>> Okafor>> Musah (99% confirmed)>> Reijnders>> Sportiello>> RLC

You can switch Musah/Okafor or RLC/Sportiello

  3. Done! I think the delay was the paperwork. As always is for non-EU players. Glad he’s finally here! Now we can focus on other signings and selling some other players to gain more funds.

Chukwueze is off a fantastic season, 13 goals, 11 assists… from a relatively defensive team. He’ll light up the Serie A for sure.

  4. Happy for you bro …I can’t wait to see you shine for the us ..best signing so far ..Milan should give adli more playing time ..

  5. Welcome Chuk!
Very promising addition, let’s hope he stays healthy.
And let’s be patient, he might need some time to show off his full potential.

  6. We should have an exciting attack. Would love to see us add Singo as the RB so we have a Chukwueze/Singo combo on the right side reeking havoc on defenders as we do with Theo/Leao on the left. It would be devastating for defenders the amount of overlapping speed they would need to deal with. Calabria (warrior) but doesn’t offer anything moving forward. Would be fun to watch and would open up so many opportunities for our strikers

  7. Wow impressive work. Leao, Pulisic and Chuk on paper is quite something.

Up next, let’s sign a new Milan lab or buy grass pitches lol

  8. So on early windows we have :
    1. No players will come to milan after maldini left
    2. After maldini gone, and tonali sales, more and more players will follow to leave milan
    3. Tonali’s sales money going straight to cardinale’s pocket.
    4. Milan will become a feeder club and will only aim for conference cup.

And now here we are, not even august yet but the squad are 90% complete.
No transfers saga that took all the windows to complete, no panic buy at last minute.
It’s almost everything has been planned very carefully.
    👀👀

    1. It’s time to move on bro… let’s forgive them.
      We support same club.

      @TRAITOR
Wherever you are, I forgive you.
You said you have stopped supporting the club and asked others to follow suit. I hope you’re back now.

True fans just don’t leave, they have no where to go.
      Milan Till The Focking Casket!

    2. I know some people will compare this transfers to yohong li era.
But the differences are, this management still work with a limited budget.
The signings were only possible thanks to tonali sales.
They buy this exciting new players within a reason prices, not just throwing money here and there buying random players.
And they are actually addressing the weakness of the team.

Now they can focus on trimming the squad down

      1. Yeah. Player by player these players are also far better quality wise than Kalinic, Conti, Hakan, Biglia and others ever were.

    3. Wait wait wait wait…

They’re now complaining we signed too many players. That we have no plan. That everything is still going belly up.

If they can’t complain about one thing, they’ll find another to complain about… even if the reasoning is non-existent.

      1. Ah yes right.
They would still say milan buy too many players even though these signings so far only address milan’s weaknesses which are midfield, and right wing.
Of course now milan is going to focus on sales to trim the squad down.
But with 3 competitions to play in, having a deep squad would of course be so much better.

    4. LOL. You summarized it pretty well. 😀 😀 😀

Hmmm… I think you could add “Milan should buy/loan Kessie back” too. 😛

      1. Hahaha..
And i notice there is 1 particular person missing from this website ever since Milan getting this signings.
I bet he’s gonna show up when Milan lose or something 👀

    5. Yeh amazing what happens when instead of running down the street wailing with your hands in the air about Maldini, Tonali and evil Yanks, you wait a few weeks and see what happens. Radical idea I know for Bartho, Mexican Ted, LOLOLO, Karen etc but they should try it some time.

  9. I must say I was quite skeptical, but remarkable work done by new management. I would have wished all this would have been possible without Tonali sale. I could have put up with a Tomori sale maybe. But good reinvestment.
Tomori sale could still happen though, and then he be replaced by an even better prospect at the back.
Tonali pain can be dumped down if we get someone like Ricci. Italian, great potential and would solve many problems as it is.
Waiting for news on departures of Ballo, Flotenzi at the back. Kalulu should play RB , and the Italian LB must arrive or promote Bozzolan.
Messiah, Origi and unfortunately Rebic must find new destination.
And at this point unfortunately, two of my favourites Saladmaker and Adli must be looking elsewhere. Salad could be backup for both LW and RW if Okafor is seen more as a CF and no one else comes in though.
For Adli I don’t think Pioli has any trust in him even as a Mezzela in a 3-man MF.
Now up to Mr Pioli to show he can step-up as well.

  10. I hope the team millan will stand like that 4 2 3 1
Maignan -tomori -thiaw(kalulu) -calabria-Theo- Rejinders- RLC (MUSAH)- Pulisic- Leao- Chukweze- Giroud (Okafor).
I think if they play collectivity they will the best team in the season

  11. Somehow, I think Pioli is still going to play his 4-2-3-1. With 4-3-3, the starting forwards should/would be Leao – Giroud – Chukwueze (?) Question mark on Chukwueze because he just arrived, but I believe that’s the plan. You don’t pay that much for him to be on the bench.

So what happens to Captain America? I believe he has to be in the team. The only place that he actually has a chance of being a starter is RW, where Chukwueze is supposed to be. You can’t drop Leao for him.

Pulisic may play there early on since, he has spent more time with the team, but is Chukwueze supposed to be on the bench? That again means, Romero will be loaned out because the squad is bloated at this point – except, Saelemaekers and Messias gets shipped out.

If Pioli does play 4-2-3-1, then it should/would be Leao – Giroud – Chukwueze, with Pulisic as AM.

That means the double pivot will be between Krunic, RLC and TJ. While RLC may not be a DM, I think he can take advantage of is physicality to adapt. If Krunic can, I think he should be able to. If not, there may be issues with the team being potent upfront, but weak in the middle.

A 4-3-3 looks like the right call, but it leaves Captain America out on the bench. How that affects marketing in America and all that, I don’t know. It may not even matter, as long as everyone understands that you can only field eleven players at once.

    Forza Milan.

    1. @Nino

Fair points but imho we have so many games challenging in Serie A and even UCL, that both Pulisic and Okafor will be needed regularly. And that’s assuming no injury/suspension problems for the likes of Giroud or Leao.

I could even see late on in games, Pulisic being used as false 9, especially to hit opponents on the break. So he’ll get a lot of game time, one of the issues we had previously was having no depth now we have a good amount in the wings/AM roles.

    2. I think this is about correct. Though in some way it provides super subs..if rotations with Pulisic and Chuk are often and effective then I’d say it’s not so bad after all. My biggest issue is gelling and playing a new formation when we’re way better with the 4231

    3. What ypu described as a problem is acrually the flexibility and depth the team has… , long season different teams, competitions…its great!

      1. Couldn’t have said it better myself. All great teams have great players on the bench too. Milan didn’t get ANY help from the bench last season. That will change for sure.

        1. @bb,
“All great teams have great players on the bench too.”

True. “…as long as everyone understands that you can only field eleven players at once.”

      2. @Alex, Please read the last sentence of the last paragraph.

“A 4-3-3 looks like the right call, but it leaves Captain America out on the bench. How that affects marketing in America and all that, I don’t know. It may not even matter, as long as everyone understands that you can only field eleven players at once.”

You can see that I didn’t mention people like Noah, because they probably understand they are not expected to be starters. My query is about Pulisic.
