AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has very much opted for what he knows as he has fielded a starting XI to face Udinese without any new signings.
Pioli has chosen to field a ‘first choice’ defence as expected with Davide Calabria, Pierre Kalulu, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez ahead of goalkeeper Mike Maignan.
Sandro Tonali is recovering from a groin injury and will miss the game, so Rade Krunic has got the nod over Tommaso Pobega to start in the double pivot alongside Ismael Bennacer.
Junior Messias has retained his spot on the right flank after a promising preseason, with Brahim Diaz given a start over Charles De Ketelaere and Yacine Adli in the No.10 role, and Rafael Leao on the left.
Olivier Giroud has been training individually this week and that is why Ante Rebic is has been picked to start over the Frenchman as per the paper, with Divock Origi and the Frenchman on the bench.

It was hard enough to watch Diaz when Maldini was the alternative, but it’s impossible to accept that he plays when we have Adli or CDK. I think I’ll skip the first half, for my own peace of mind. Surley he’ll be substituted at half time after proving once again he is useless.

He’s not been consistent for Milan but he’s a player with good quality who’s done well in several matches, especially early in seasons – the team knows him and is experienced together – give the kid a chance FFS
He’s had countless chances already, unlike Paqueta or Hauge for example. I guess that what matters the most is to be friends with the coach.

Brahim are good in early season and his salary only 1m euro nett , why mocking him in comment. Adili & CDK shall not put in pressure in their 1st season , CDK will be replace brahim in last 15-25min for adaptation

This is my opinion if to utilize our best players as starting line-up. Not enough depth on the bench for CF and DM.
