Official: Atalanta vs. Milan starting XIs – Leao gets the nod to start up front

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has entrusted Rafael Leao with the task of leading the line for the Rossoneri against Atalanta.

The Rossoneri know that only a win will guarantee a top four spot as they also hope for a favour from Bologna and Hellas Verona, who are playing Juventus and Napoli respectively.

Gianluigi Donnarumma is in goal with a back four of Davide Calabria, Simon Kjaer, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez. Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie are the double pivot, with Alexis Saelemaekers, Brahim Diaz and Hakan Calhanoglu the trio behind Rafael Leao, who will be the striker with Rebic not in the best condition and Ibrahimovic injured.

  1. Really???? Pioli really!!!???? Come on!!! When has this worked?? Awful coach…. the only way he should start up top is in a 2 striker formation. Put him with Mandzukic and Leao will actually have a good game. Put hkm alone he’ll be invisible..
