Celtic have confirmed the signing of AC Milan defender Diego Laxalt on a season-long loan deal.
The Scottish club confirmed on their official website that the Uruguay international will arrive on a temporary basis. The 27-year-old joined Milan from Genoa in 2018, and has made 35 appearances for the Rossoneri.
He spent the first half of the 2019-20 season on loan at Torino, although he was recalled to the San Siro after the departure of Ricardo Rodriguez.
Celtic will be Milan’s first opponents in this season’s UEFA Europa League group stages, with a visit to Glasgow lined up for October 22.
