Official: Lecce vs. AC Milan starting XIs – Rebic starts as Rossoneri welcome key duo back

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has made two changes to the side that were knocked out of the Coppa Italia by Juventus for Monday’s game against Lecce.

Gianluigi Donnarumma will start in goal while Andrea Conti, Alessio Romagnoli and Simon Kjaer all keep their place in the starting XI, but there is a change at left-back as Theo Hernandez returns from suspension to replace Davide Calabria.

Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie are the midfield anchors once again, with Samu Castillejo also back from suspension to play wide right, with Giacomo Bonaventura as the playmaker and Hakan Calhanoglu out on the left.

There is no place for Rafael Leao as Ante Rebic starts up front, and he will be looking to make amends for his red card in the Juve game and continue his fine form before the COVID-19 break.

Official Milan XI (4-2-3-1): G. Donnarumma; Conti, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Kessie, Bennacer; Castillejo, Calhanoglu, Bonaventura; Rebic.

Lecce have a number of different injury problems to deal with, something which means that Gianluca Lapadula gets the nod up front to face his old club, while two other former Rossoneri players in Gabriel and Riccardo Saponara also feature for the hosts.

Official Lecce XI (4-3-2-1):Gabriel; Rispoli, Lucioni, Meccariello, Calderoni; Petriccione, Tachtsidis, Mancosu; Falco, Saponara; Lapadula.
