Lega Serie A have officially announced the start and end dates for the 2023-24 season, with a later start date than usual.
An official statement has confirmed that the next campaign will start on 20 August 2024 and then finish on 26 May 2024. It is a later return to action after the current season which is obviously because of the Qatar World Cup and the mid-season break that it has prompted.
It has certainly been a peculiar season so far from a scheduling point of view given the early start to Milan’s title defence and the very compact fixture list in view of the over six-week break that Serie A teams are currently experiencing.
Milan will soon fly out to Dubai for a warm weather winter training camp in which they will play Arsenal and Liverpool in a friendly tournament, before recommencing Serie A action on January 4 with a trip to face Salernitana.
