The AC Milan Women have experienced quite the upheaval within the past few years. The latest, big shakeup was the loss of former stalwart full-back, Linda Tucceri Cimini.
It is not clear why Linda left Milan, though there is some speculation that she may have had a falling out with former coach, Maurizio Ganz. As a result, the player was transferred to ACF Fiorentina.
Tucceri Cimini played a total of 102 games for the Rossonere and scored a total of 10 goals while registering 24 assists. Linda was also involved in some of the more memorable moments for Milan, including providing the assist that allowed Francesca Vitale to tie Juventus during a league match in 2019.
When the Rossonere qualified for the Champions League for the first time in 2021, the team celebrated by singing “Oh Linda, portaci in Europa! [Oh Linda! Take us to Europe!]”
The full-back joins a burgeoning list of former Milan players who thave ransferred to Fiorentina, including Verónica Boquete, Francesca Vitale, and Valentina Giacinti (before moving to Roma).
Linda also gave her salutations to Milan on Instagram. Though she is gone, she will not be forgotten, as she’ll left an indelible impact on the Rossoneri faithful.
