Official: Milan president Paolo Scaroni resigns from Lega Serie A position

AC Milan president Paolo Scaroni has resigned from his position as the director for Lega Serie A, it has been confirmed.

As MilanNews writes, the Lega Serie A Assembly took place today via a video call involving representatives of all 20 clubs. At the beginning of the meeting, President Dal Pino congratulated Inter on their Scudetto win and said goodbye with affection to the two relegated clubs – Crotone and Parma – wishing them a quick return to the top flight.

Dal Pino then took note of the resignation from his position as League Councillor of Scaroni, thanking him for the valuable contribution he has given in carrying out his duties. The Assembly then unanimously decided to postpone the discussion regarding the European Super League to a future meeting.

Finally, again with a unanimous decision, the clubs – after evaluating the offer received from Sky – resolved to postpone the vote on a new TV rights package to next week with negotiations ongoing.
