Official: Pioli names 23-man squad for Inter clash – four absentees

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has named his squad for the game against Inter at San Siro this evening, and there are four absentees.

As MilanNews reports, the Milan squad are meeting at the Hotel Melià for the game against the Nerazzurri and Pioli has submitted the official squad list in view of the match at 18:00 CEST.

There are four absentees: Pierre Kalulu, Ismael Bennacer and Mattia Caldara – all of whom have sustained injuries – and the suspended Fikayo Tomori. Andrea Bartesaghi has been named.

Goalkeepers: Maignan, Sportiello, Mirante.

Defenders: Calabria, Thiaw, Kjaer, Theo, Florenzi, Pellegrino, Bartesaghi.

Midfielders: Reijnders, Krunic, Loftus-Cheek, Musah, Pobega, Adli.

Forwards: Leao, Pulisic, Giroud, Okafor, Chukwueze, Jovic, Luka Romero.

  1. Why Simic is not in the squad? He played great in pre season, already have goal and assist in Primavera, can play anywhere on the right side including central def. Plays with both feet. Its a shame not having him as an option.

    1. Because he’s not as good as people think. Tomori bailed him out in preseason and he was consistently behind the office line playing players onside the entire time. That’s not going to fly in a Series A game much less a derby. Don’t let his high points alone fool you. Kid has alot of work to.

      1. And who took care of Vinisius? Tomori? I think he was very good, fast and physical. And Tomori is making so many mistakes it is pathetic.
