Official: Primavera defender leaves Milan and joins Spanish side on free transfer

By Isak Möller -

The now former AC Milan youngster Nikolaos Michelis has signed a contract with second-tier Spanish side CB Mirandes. This was confirmed by the latter earlier today, stating that it’s a free transfer.

Michelis joined Milan from Greece side Asteras Tripoli back in 2019 and racked up 49 appearances for the Primavera side. This pre-season, the centre-back also featured in a few of the Rossoneri’s friendlies, including the one against Köln.

As per Mirandes’s official announcement, the 21-year-old joins them on a free transfer as Milan have agreed to let him leave. After the rather disappointing loan move to Willem II this past season, therefore, the Rossoneri made their decision.

“Michelis arrives free after his time at AC Milan and signs until June 2025 with the club,” the statement read.

Speaking of the Primavera, defender Luca Stanga is also closing in on a permanent exit. It comes as a bit of a surprise after impressive displays with the Primavera side but he’s just one step away from joining Serie C side Lecco. We will see if there is a fee involved for that one.
