Official: Valeri will officiate Milan-Verona – the precedents for both teams

By Oliver Fisher -

Paolo Valeri will be the referee who has the privilege of bringing an end to AC Milan’s 2022-23 season with his three whistles at the end of the 90 minutes against Hellas Verona.

As our colleagues at SempreMilan.it write, Valeri will be the referee for tonight’s match between Milan and Hellas Verona at San Siro which kicks off at 21:00 CEST and will close out the campaign.

The Roman official has taken charge of 36 Milan games in past, with a record 23 wins for the Lombardy side and five draws, as well as eight defeats. He has given out 90 yellow cards and seven red cards to Milan, plus six penalties.

Valeri has taken charge of 14 Verona games, with seven of them being wins for the Gialloblu plus two draws and five defeats. They were shown 41 yellow cards and three red cards, being awarded five penalties.

Furthermore, Valeri will officiate a game between Milan and Verona for the third time ever, with the other two games resulting in a Rossoneri win and a draw. The VAR chief will be Maurizio Mariani.
