AC Milan have officially announced that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has renewed his contract and will remain for at least another season.
Through a statement on their official website, confirmed the renewal of Ibrahimović’s contract until June 30, 2023. They also added that the Swedish forward will continue to wear the number 11 shirt.
The role that Ibrahimovic played in helping Milan to their 19th Scudetto was clear to everyone during the celebrations both at Casa Milan and on the open bus to Piazza Duomo. Now, the signing of his renewal is over the line as many sources reported it would be.
The 40-year-old underwent surgery on his knee at the end of last season which means that he will be out until the new year, but he clearly still feels that he can contribute to the group and he already has a list of records in sight that he could well beat in the second half of the season.
