Okafor issues update on flexor injury: “I hope it’s not serious”

By Oliver Fisher -

Noah Okafor has commented on his social media about the injury that he suffered during today’s 3-0 win over Monza in which he netted the third goal.

Inside the final 20 minutes, Milan put the game to bed with a beautiful team move. Okafor had been unlucky not to score moments earlier with a curling shot that was saved.

He wasn’t to be denied a second time as Reijnders beat Akpa Akpro and fed Giroud who flicked it into the path of the Swiss forward who swept in with his right boot past Di Gregorio.

However, Okafor wouldn’t have long to enjoy his goal as he pulled up with what looked like a hamstring injury, forcing him off with Samuel Chukwueze coming on in his place.

As MilanNews report, Okafor commented on his Instagram profile about the muscle problem that he seemed to sustain: “I hope it’s not serious, just a small flexor problem. I hope to return as soon as possible.”

  1. Stefano Pioli please stop playing the 4-3-3 please for the safety of our players please at least remember that the safety of our players is important and we need to Stig to our old formation 4-2-3-1 is very important because we can use it to stop dangerous teams like intermilan or Sassuolo we have done it before and we can do it again and we need leao to be our top scorer and leao is used to the 4-2-3-1 so is quite better we return to the 4-2-3-1 other wise leave Acmilan alone please and again using tomori in defence is wrong but using rejnder is solid is better you as a coach resuffle this system before you will remember your sacked
    M.maignan
    Calabria, Kjaer, Bartasaghi, Hernandez
    Rejnder, benercer
    Chukwueze, Romero, leao
    Geroud
Please if Pioli don’t use this system please Pioli should be sacked for acmilan misfortune because Pioli can’t be getting things wrong how can inter be ahead of us intermilan didn’t change their system is only in Acmilan I always see this rubbish Acmilan must wake up from January we should start an unbeating run enough is enough if Pioli is not serious Acmilan are serious

    1. Time to stop this broken record.

      Gzzzerkkkk!

Did I miss something or aren’t Tomori, Kjaer, and Simic ALL CENTERBACKS??
This was a 3-4-3 formation, from beginning to end. Pobega started in that back three as a centerback, and was replaced with a true centerback.
I think it helped a LOT with Milan’s defensive form, much more than the 4-2-3-1
It also turned Milan into more of a mid-block defense with a fast breaking attack, something that is quite different from what has been going on for several matches now.

    2. Bro, what are you talking about? I could only follow part of your post because its a bit muddy. Let me see if I got it straight, your starting line up does not include Tomori or Pulisic but has Bartesaghi and Romero in it and if Pioli doesn’t follow your lineup he should be sacked? I am speechless, well done mate.

    3. I don’t want to sound mean, but non of your posts make any actual sense. Your lineups don’t ever make any sense and your tactical positioning is puzzling…

You’ve watched Milan games this season and understand which player takes which position, right?
