CorSport: Origi’s wait is nearly over – when he should play his first game for Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan fans have been eagerly awaiting the debut of Divock Origi and they should not have to wait too much longer, a report claims.

According to Corriere dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it), the long-awaited debut of Origi with the Milan shirt is approaching. The Belgian striker has recovered from the muscle problem that forced him to miss the back end of last season and has disrupted his start to life at Milan.

He is training well together with his new team-mates, and the paper believes that Sunday’s match against Marseille could be the first time that we see him get minutes in a game situation.

However, Simon Kjaer was expected to play against Wolfsberger last night and did not, so it could be that Origi is handled carefull and if that were the case then the last preseason test against Vicenza on August 6 could be the right game for his debut.

  1. I find it hard to believe a single fan is looking forward to his debate. He’s an injury prone reject that no big club wanted. He’s a backup to Giroud.

    1. I’m looking forward to see him shine in our shirt.

Check his goals+assists per minute before talking trash.

Also, “injury prone”? He missed an average of 4 games per season in last 5 seasons – that’s injury prone to you? LOL

Go back to playing fifa or watching youtube compilations, moron. You don’t deserve to be a fan.

    2. I’m looking forward to him tf you on about bro, I’m confident if he has good game time he can bang in atleast 10 goals this season

    3. Tomori wasn’t even back up at Chelsea and look at how he turned out.

He absolutely tore us to shreds in the CL last year and has scored some big goals in big games for Liverpool.

      Quality addition to our squad.

    4. Injury prone? In which world do you live in? Origi is far from being injury prone. And with time he will be a starter ahead of Giroud. Who says fans aren’t looking forward to his debut? A lot of us are waiting on him ….you’re very funny guy. Apparently you don’t know Origi.

  2. I for one am hoping he explodes in Serie A. Not cracking the starting 11 at Liverpool hardly makes him a reject…or do you only watch Milan games?

  3. Playing regular in a much weaker league, im hoping he will do really well. I’d like to see him upfront, with CDK behind and Rebic/Diaz on the right if we dont get a new arrival. Granted Rebic apparently doesnt want to play on the right.

  4. Milan should have sign Dybala,Ziyech,Renato,CDK,Belotti and Botman respectively. UCL is gonna be tough without depth.
