Samuel Chukwueze has struggled during his first few months at AC Milan and is currently out with an injury. However, his compatriot Victor Osimhen is confident that he will start shining for the Rossoneri soon.
Chukwueze was the most expensive signing of the summer, coming in at €20m plus €8m in bonuses, but he’s yet to register a goal or an assist in nine appearances. Furthermore, he’s currently dealing with an injury and is thus unavailable.
Speaking live on the Twitch channel TV Play, as cited by MilanNews24, Napoli star Osimhe shared his thoughts on Chukwueze. He stated that he would bet his life on the winger, also highlighting the fact that he struggled in his first few months at Napoli.
“Chuk is a great talent for his age. I also struggled the first two months in Italy. Serie A is a very competitive league. He came from a different league, I would bet my life on his talent. He must believe in his talent and it will start to show,” he stated.
It remains to be seen when Chukwueze will be back in action for the Rossoneri. Pioli could certainly use him as Christian Pulisic cannot start every game, but at least now Luka Romero is expected to feature more.
I think Luka Romero is much more talented than him. He is just 18 but is more disciplined and confident than Chukwueze, if we give him more playing time he will become one of the best RW in Serie in less than a year. We saw what he can do in the pre-season, given his age and potential play time is necessary for his development. Now with Chukwueze injured, he has the opportunity to steal his spot and shine.
With Chukwueze we should still be patient, but I don’t think it will work with him and Leao on both wings. They both have similar attributes which might not work together.
Tell that to Robben and Ribery
Never doubt about his talent. Whether he’ll suit this Milan, this league in more general, is another issue.

Could be the language barrier thats the issue. Pulisic and RLC have Tomori to help them out/ translate, Musah already knew italian, Okafor is friends with Rafa so i’ll just assume he helps him out.
Season still young-ish. Chuky will get his chances
I don’t think chukwueze is as talented as the hype, he is overhyped in my opinion.
