Il Mattino: Osimhen certain not to start first leg against Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

There continues to be some mystery surrounding the condition of Victor Osimhen a few days before the Champions League clash between AC Milan and Napoli.

Despite the general optimism of the past few days suggesting that Osimhen will be available for the first leg, there now seems to be very little hope at least from local media, as the paper Il Mattino (via SempreMilan.it) are sure he will be absent for the first game.

The Nigerian striker should therefore not make it back in time for the first leg match of the Champions League quarter-finals. Yesterday he trained separately against and his recovery for the match is unlikely, so the best that head coach Luciano Spalletti can hope for is to have him available for the bench.

With Giovanni Simeone also out injured, it should be up to Giacomo Raspadori to lead the line for the Neapolitans at the San Siro.
