Repubblica: Osimhen was sulky and angry when he learned he would not face Milan

By Euan Burns -

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen was reportedly sulky and angry when he learned that he would not be in the squad to face AC Milan on Wednesday night, a report claims.

As has been reported by La Repubblica (via Calciomercato.com), the Nigerian striker was visibly upset when it was confirmed that he is not fit enough to be named in the Champions League squad for the quarter-final first leg against Milan.

He missed Napoli’s last two games thanks to the injury that he suffered just a few days before the 4-0 defeat against Milan in Serie A.

There was a faint chance that he could make it for the quarter-final first leg but he did not recover in time to even make the bench.

When he was told the news after training that he won’t be risked, he was supposedly looking sulky and angry as he sped away in his car, whilst the rest of the team boarded the bus to the airport.
