Lucas Paqueta has praised the impact that former boss Gennaro Gattuso had on him, and revealed how playing at San Siro is a dream come true.
The Brazil international has quickly become a fan favourite since arriving from Flamengo in January in a €35million deal.
Paqueta has revealed he is looking to kick on this season and achieve great things with the Rossoneri, and also praised now boss Marco Giampaolo.
Now, the 21-year-old has reflected on his time under Gattuso and discussed his idol Kaka.
“Gattuso was a person who taught me a lot,” Paqueta told Sky Italia.
“He has been a player of great achievements and as a coach he has helped me a lot also. He is a person who gave me so much, teaching me many things.
“Playing at San Siro is a huge emotion. When I saw Kaka playing, I thought about how good it was. When I saw the players in there I imagined myself in their place.
“It was always a great emotion. Playing there is incredible. I would like to enter San Siro again many other times.
“Kaka was my idol. All the players who went through Milan were hard workers. I hope to imitate them and become a winner with this shirt.
“Milan is a big club known all over the world, in Brazil they are a point of reference. Whoever plays at Milan is a champion, it is a team that has won seven Champions Leagues.”
